Racing >North Cove Knee Deep Model Yacht Club
The Knee Deep Model Yacht Club is open to all members of North Cove Yacht Club interested in sailing the CR-914 class radio controlled model sailboats. Races are held one night every week from April to October, with the race night changing each month. Each race night you hear many yells of “Starboard”, sometimes from both boats on opposite tacks. Many stay for a relaxing bite to eat after the “fierce” competition. Our fearless secretary manages to keep track of who finishes wh
en and awards trophies each month. The season ends with a December awards dinner. Steve Clarke was the 2007 Champion. The NCKDMYC always welcomes new members and some skippers have offered to help build boats for any new members that might question their model building skills.

Racing continues to be very competitive, as you can see in the picture taken immediately after a start.
Vital statistics for the month:
- 16 boats participated in one or more races.
- 12 boats sailed in enough races to qualify for the series trophy.
- 7 boats had at least one first place finish during the month.
- 12 boats had at least one second place finish during the month.
- 11 boats had at least one third place finish during the month.
