Caroline and David Miller ( c.d.miller@comcast.net ) are the Labor Day Cruise Captains. The Cruising Club Dock and Bulkhead at Mystic Seaport have been reserved for our second cruise there. Any remaining space will be released to the public on July 29th, so please reserve before then.

(Ahoy Land Lubbers!: The Seaport is just up the road a piece so please join us for any of the activities planned for the weekend.)
Guests of members are welcome. Prospective members are welcome to attend with their sponsors. Guests and prospective members may join us either by sea or by land.
Guests are welcome to accompany you on your boat or theirs. Prospective members are always welcome as well, provided they are accompanied by their sponsor.

2008 Itinerary (Revised 8/21/08)
Friday:
Meet up in West Harbor for the night, if you'd like, and enjoy some spontaneous camaraderie.
Saturday:
- Sail up the Mystic River to the Seaport. The earliest bridge opening for seaport check-in is 1240. After you come around Lighthouse Point hail the Seaport on Channel 68 for your dock assignment on the North Dock and assistance with your lines.
- After settling in, head to the dock office, which is opposite the Welcome Center south of the Village Green. There you will pay your bill for dockage, receive yachtsman tickets for all aboard your boat, and also the schedule of events for the weekend. Enjoy the seaport at your leisure.
1730 Meet on the dock
- For the adults, For the adults, to continue theme of provisioning secrets, we will have a box wine tasting. We will purchase the wines. $4 per person. Bring a appetizer – if you wish.
- For the kids, enjoy a Scavenger Hunt after the Seaport is closed to the public. Pick up your Hunt information at Capella and Akvavit. (Parents: Please caution your kids that they are not allowed on the ships or inside the exhibit buildings when the Seaport is closed.)
Sunday:
0930 Meet on the Town Green with your coffee and picnic blanket. (Tip: The Bake Shoppe has wonderful pastries and good coffee.) Details will be given for the Seaport Scavenger Hunt and afternoon trip to Ice Cream store. Orders will be taken for the kids pizza party.
1430 Meet at Capella to begin our fifteen minute walk to the Ice Cream Store.
1700 Kids meet at Capella for pizza party. Pizza party will be $4.00 per child.
1900 Dinner at Seamen's Inne. Invite some other NCYC members to join you and call the Inne for a reservation (860-572-5303). Let them know that you are with NCYC and they will try to group our tables in the same area.
Monday:
Depart for home anytime up until the 1240 bridge opening.

- It will be left to the individual yachtsman to determine whether to cancel due to weather, remembering that the Seaport has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellation of the event by the event hosts does NOT cancel your individual slip reservation.
- Please email Caroline at c.d.miller@comcast.net to let us know you are joining us, whether by sea or by land, so we can plan properly. Many of you have previously emailed or mentioned your plan to attend but please update that information now.
